Transcriptional Response of Multi-Stress-Tolerant Saccharomyces cerevisiae to Sequential Stresses

چکیده

During the fermentation process, yeast cells face different stresses, and their survival efficiency depend on adaptation to these challenging conditions. Yeast must tolerate not only a single stress but also multiple simultaneous sequential stresses. However, cellular response when are sequentially stressed completely understood. To explore this, we exposed multi-stress-tolerant strain (BT0510) consecutive stresses globally common response, focusing genes induced in both Gene Ontology, pathway analyses, transcription factor motifs identified many processes linked this response. A metabolic shift pentose phosphate pathway, peroxisome activity, oxidative were some of found. The SYM1, STF2, HSP factors Adr1 Usv1 may play role This study presents global view transcriptome multi-resistance provides new insights into can indicate future directions for genetic engineering strains, which could improve processes, such as those used bioethanol production beverages.

Transcriptional response of Saccharomyces cerevisiae to desiccation and rehydration.

A transcriptional analysis of the response of Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain BY4743 to controlled air-drying (desiccation) and subsequent rehydration under minimal glucose conditions was performed. Expression of genes involved in fatty acid oxidation and the glyoxylate cycle was observed to increase during drying and remained in this state during the rehydration phase. When the BY4743 expressi...

Genome-Wide Transcriptional Response of Saccharomyces cerevisiae to Stress-Induced Perturbations

Cells respond to environmental and/or genetic perturbations in order to survive and proliferate. Characterization of the changes after various stimuli at different -omics levels is crucial to comprehend the adaptation of cells to the changing conditions. Genome-wide quantification and analysis of transcript levels, the genes affected by perturbations, extends our understanding of cellular metab...

Early transcriptional response of Saccharomyces cerevisiae to stress imposed by the herbicide 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid.

The global gene transcription pattern of the eukaryotic experimental model Saccharomyces cerevisiae in response to sudden aggression with the widely used herbicide 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) was analysed. Under acute stress, 14% of the yeast transcripts suffered a greater than twofold change. The yeastract database was used to predict the transcription factors mediating the response...

Transcriptional remodeling in response to iron deprivation in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

The budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae responds to depletion of iron in the environment by activating Aft1p, the major iron-dependent transcription factor, and by transcribing systems involved in the uptake of iron. Here, we have studied the transcriptional response to iron deprivation and have identified new Aft1p target genes. We find that other metabolic pathways are regulated by iron: b...

Oscillatory nucleocytoplasmic shuttling of the general stress response transcriptional activators Msn2 and Msn4 in Saccharomyces cerevisiae

Msn2 and Msn4 are two related transcriptional activators that mediate a general response to stress in yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae by eliciting the expression of specific sets of genes. In response to stress or nutritional limitation, Msn2 and Msn4 migrate from the cytoplasm to the nucleus. Using GFP-tagged constructs and high-resolution time-lapse video microscopy on single cells, we show th...
